As a Lafayette, Indiana luxury wedding photographer, I feel so honored when couples invite me to travel and capture their love stories in breathtaking places. Jacob and Dawn’s destination wedding at Emerald Bay State Park in South Lake Tahoe, California was the definition of magical.

The day began with the most peaceful mountain air and views of the sparkling turquoise waters of Lake Tahoe. Surrounded by the most breathtaking, towering pines, and rugged cliffs, Emerald Bay created the perfect backdrop for their vows.

Dawn looked absolutely stunning in her flowing gown, glowing against the golden sunlight filtering through the trees. Jacob’s reaction when he saw her walking down the aisle was unforgettable — pure joy and admiration. Their ceremony overlooked the bay, with family and dear friends gathered close, making the moment feel intimate even in such a grand setting.

One of my favorite parts of the day was slipping away with Jacob and Dawn after the ceremony for portraits along the cliffs. The dramatic scenery of Lake Tahoe made every image timeless, and the love between them shone brighter than the lake itself!
